Dear friends,
I’m so excited to invite you to From Spirit, with Love, an evening that’s very close to my heart.
I’ll be sharing the platform with two mediums I love and deeply respect, and I honestly can’t wait for you to see them work.
Colin Bates has been teaching mediumship for thirty years. He studied trance under the renowned Gordon Higginson, taught at the Arthur Findlay College, and you may even have seen him on the Netflix series Surviving Death. Having Colin with us is a real privilege, and to see him demonstrate live is something special.
Donna King has been guided by spirit since she was a child. She’s a psychic, medium, healer and trance artist, and she works with such warmth that you feel it the moment she begins. Donna and I teach our weekly development classes together, so I get to see every week how beautifully spirit works through her.
When the name for this evening came to me, I thought of how Colin leads from the heart and allows spirit to guide his work. Donna and I share that intention, and it’s what this evening is about: not only evidence of who is with you, but the love, presence and personality that let you feel them close.
What we share is a deep love for the spirit world. It’s an honour for each of us to work with whoever steps forward from the spirit world, and to feel the power and connection that comes when they draw close. I truly believe it’s going to be a beautiful evening.
You don’t need to know anything about mediumship to come. Whether you’re curious, completely new to all of this, or have been sitting in circle for years, there’s a place for you. Join us from home on Zoom, settle in with a cup of tea, and let the spirit world lead the way.

What to expect
The Zoom room opens ten minutes early so you can settle in. After a short welcome, the three mediums take turns working with the spirit world, bringing through those who step forward with evidence you can recognise. Keep your camera on if you're comfortable, as it helps the mediums connect with you. Not everyone will receive a personal message, but every message carries something for the whole room.
Meet the mediums
Rev. Colin Bates. Colin first walked into a Spiritualist church at fifteen, when his mother went in search of contact with her own father, and the spirit world has been central to his life ever since. An internationally recognised medium and teacher, he has taught mediumship and spiritual development for thirty years. He studied trance under the renowned Gordon Higginson, was a mediumship tutor and course organiser at the Arthur Findlay College, and is a registered Spiritualist healer. You may also have seen him on the Netflix series Surviving Death. He works and teaches from the heart, with a deep belief in the limitless power of spirit, and helps students recognise that the medium is who they already are.
